read-only angst part 2

A

Autumn

Like "Julie" I am having problems saving a presentation.
I created a presentation in powerpoint on a CD. When I
went back to make edits, it wouldn't let me save because
the file was "read-only". Can I get this not to be read-
only so I can edit multiple times to the same
CD/presentation?

Thanx for any input...

You'll need to copy the presentation file to your hard drive and then right
click it, select Properties, and uncheck the Read Only attribute. Then edit
as you wish and save to the hard drive. Then you can re-burn the file to
CD.

Explanation: When files are burned to CD their properties are set to Read
Only.

If you burned your presentation to a CD-R disk and not a
CD-RW disc, you will not be able to change it on the
disk. You will have to copy it to your hard drive, make
the changes, and burn it again.
