Read Only Database Issue

Hello, I have a database that recently began opening with a read only error
message. The database is not set to open in read only, but is functioning
that way. Any idea as to why this is happening and how to make it stop? Any
help will be greatly appreciated.

Please ignore. My computer shut down just when I finished my first post on
the subject so I thought it didn't work. Sorry.
