"Read-Only" Error Message

We have the problem as shown in KB article 824424 - "When you try to save an
Office 2003 file to a Novell Netware network location, you may receive an
error message that indicates that the file (or the folder that contains it)
is marked as read-only."

So there is a hotfix, but you have to contact MICROSOFT to get it?!?! Why
can't we download it from that KB article page? Does anyone have the hotfix?
I don't understand why they don't offer it online. Can someone email it to me
(e-mail address removed)? Would love the help! :)

We are trying to stay away from the Novell client. It slows us down so much.
Now that we are on active directory we were very excited about finally
putting machines out there that don't have Novell on them. As we speak I am
currently (sigh) putting the Novell client on this pc since I didn't know how
quickly I might get a response. But this is going to be a big issue with us
eventually, so I thought I would nip it in the bud. :)

Call Microsoft and get the Hotfix. It costs nothing if you only ask for it.
Geez, why all the drama??? How many other companies CHARGE for fixes? Not
Microsoft.
