read-only format

Jon

I recently saved all my documents on CD and cleaned out my
hard drive. When I reloated all my documents I noticed
that I saved everything as read-only. Is there any way to
remove the read-only format without re-naming every
document?

Hi Jon,

With at least some CD copying/creation software the attributes of all of the
files are set to Read Only when the file is created on the CD. By right
clicking on the file on your hard disk in Windows Explorer and then
selecting Properties, you can uncheck the Read Only attribute.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
