Access 2003 User Names & Login issues

We have a peer to peer network in our office and use Access to store
confidential information.

I would like to create a secondary database with either a linked table or
query that will enable certain employees to access a subset of information
from larger database.

Is something like this possible?

I would like to create a secondary database with either a linked table
or query that will enable certain employees to access a subset of
information from larger database.

You don't need to create another database: the built-in Access user
security is designed for exactly this purpose. Lots of details in the help
files and on ms knowledge base. Make sure you understand it, and take lots
of backups, before going live on your real data!
