Read Only One Note Files

I had to replace my hard drive. When I reinstalled OneNote 2007, one of the
notebooks would not connect. It gives me the data, but it is read only. I
can not make and modifications to the text.

How can I get OneNote to "see" the records?

Thanks

Thanks for your response Ben.

I opened the *.one file and looked at the properties. It did not say Read
Only.

When I opened OneNote, I realized there was a red dot on the folder. When I
mouse-overed, it said that Notebook came from my CD. The CD that held the
back-up.

I am not sure why two of the Notebooks came in from the CD and found a happy
home, and the 3rd Notebook decided to stay on the CD.

However, all 3 are back home and syncing their hearts out!

I would like to make a shared notebook read-only. In searching for info, I
found this discussion. I looked at the properties tab for a section in my
notebook. Can I change the attributes there, either on the General or NetWare
Info tab, to read-only so it's read-only for other users? If I want to edit,
would I be the only user who could make changes? Would I have to change each
section or could I do this for an entire notebook? Thanks,
