Read-Only Permissions set on network-stored documents

A client lost their domain controller. All My Documents were stored on
network server. I took file server out of dead domain, moved it to a
workgroup named TEMP. I set up each user as a local user on the server and
set up permissions on their My Documents folder for Full Control. Most users
have no problems getting their documents, but when one user brings up her
documents they open with "Read Only" appended to the document title and she
cannot change or save document. Software involved is Server 2003 and Office
2003. Thanks for your kind advice...

A+, Net+, Security+, CCNA... but not so hot in permissions!
