Good Morning Everyone!
I am stumped a=on this very simply issue, if someone could help that would
be great!
The issue is that we have a shared Access 2007 DB on our network. Multiple
people from one department access this DB. It used to only allow one person
to open the database at a time in full edit mode. If the DB was already
opened the the others would get the usual "The file is locked for editing by
'username'..." Then give them the read-only and notify options.
This feature no longer works!! Now when the file is open and someone else
tries to open it, they can with no problem and all users can save their
changes.
Does anyone know how to make the read-only\notify prompt appear again? I
thought this maybe was an Office setting but can't seem to find the setting
anywhere. Maybe it is a file or sharing permissions issue....help??
