I saved a form using the Read-Only Recommended check box so I would not
inadvertently overwrite it (Word 07, Tools-General Options). I want to clear
this attribute from the form. So I click "Save-As" and go into Tools-General
Options and uncheck the "Read-Only Recommended" check box and then save the
document. I then close the document. When I reopen it, the box is still
checked. In other words, I can't seem to turn of the "Read-Only Recommended"
attribute.
Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? I had the same
problem in Word 2003, using an old computer. I now have a new computer (W7)
and Word 07.
