I received a Word email doc fm a colleague. When I opened
it, it required me either to enter the sender's password,
or to open as Read Only. I did the latter. Since then,
every Word doc I've got is read only. This means that when
I open any old document or create a new one, there are no
tools bars, no help buttons -- no nothing ... just the
document's (text properly formatted) and the "ruler."
WHen I look at "My Doc" properties (XP Pro), the Read Only
box is completely green (as opposed to clear or checked).
When I clear it, it appears to re-set to NON Read Only.
But once I OK my way out, nothing has changed. When I
examine the properties again, MY Doc is again "set" (green)
to Read Only.
Suggestions? Help !!!!
