Read only

All my documents are coming up as Read only, I can't save
them to disk or cd. I tried renaming them. That didn't
work. Can someone help.

Have you checked the file properties from within windows
explorer to ensure the read-only attribute is not flagged
there?

Also, check...

Tools | Options | Save: and clear read only recommended.

Another question, going the other way...i want to save a
file so that it can be read but not edited. I've saved it
as a read-only but it can still be changed by saving it
under a different name. is there any way of preventing
renaming?
