Try using Disk Utility to repair disk permissions.

If it isn't that, then you will have to give us heaps more information on
what you are doing, otherwise we can only say "Don't know".

Remember: We can't see your screen from here :)

Hi, thanks for the reply. All I do is open my Word, type my document and try and print then a message comes up to say that it is read only and to make sure my dsic is not full...have no idea what that means.

It means that Word is unable to write to the place where you are trying to
save the document.

What is the file name of the document? How did you create that file name?
And which disk and folder are you trying to save it into?

The "Disk full..." error simply means "Unable to write". The most obvious
cause of being unable to write is that there is no room left on the disk.
However, in your case, I suspect that this is not true.

So: Small details are important. How, exactly, do you "open your Word"?

Is this your computer? Did you install Word? Is this your user-ID you are
using to login?

I need to know as much as possible about your setup. For example: If you
are using a company or school computer, and you have logged in with the
wrong account, you will not be able to save to your own folder. If you have
not logged in, you won't be able to save anywhere!

Cheers
