Read Receipt

I must be an idiot. For the life of me, I cannot find how to attach a read
receipt to outgoing email. And help in entourage is surprisingly unhelpful
- hence my coming to the gurus.;-)

Dang, I was hopeful when I read this...
I'm using Entourage 2004, all service packs and Exchange 2003 / AD.
It doesn't work.

Anyone have any ideas as to why?

Not without more information from you!

If you send yourself a message with the extra header set, and look at the
source of the received message, does the Disposition-Notification-To header
appear?

If you're concerned that you're not getting a receipt, then you've found the
fly in the ointment. Read receipts are entirely optional for the recipient
to return. You can ask for them, but you're not guaranteed a response.

Cheers,

Chris

YES.

I sent myself a message - not given the opportunity to send a receipt, and I
did not receive one.

What else do you need to know?

YES.

Good. If you send it to someone with a client that can send receipt
notifications, you may get something back from them.

OK. Entourage does not support *sending* receipt notifications which is why
you were not given the opportunity to do so. The FAQ item I sent before
suggested that you could set up a rule to do this if you wanted.
What else do you need to know?
