Please HELP!!!
We have a file that is not "Shared" but that 5 or 6 of us make changes to one
at a time. Therefore, only one of us will have write access at any given
time. Normally, when another user attempts to open the file while someone
has write access they will receive the warning message and be forced to open
a read-only version. However, we have recently switched to 2003 and this
seems to be sporadic now and we can't determine a cause.
We have checked all of the sharing and authorizations with our IT dept. and
everything seems to be set correctly. However, we are continually running
into instances where two users have write-access. Any idea what could be
causing this sharing / access issue??
