readability statistics

I turned on the readability statistics, but when the spelling check is
finished, nothing shows up. I tried the Detect and repair option, but still
nothing. And the statistics problem occurs regardless of the language.
When the spelling check is finished, a message "Tag Protection ON" occurs in
the Word Status bar.
Any ideas what may be the problem?

How about the version of Word and language you are using and the
updates you have installed?

Right. Sorry about that. I have Word 2003 Professional ed. and Office SP1
installed. Languages installed: English, French, Spanish, German, Slovenian,
Croatian, Italian.

Do the readability statistics display when you use English? Are you
using a specific language when they don't display?

The statistics do not show up, regardless of the language I'm using. I tried
uninstalling and re-installing the proofing tools, but it didn't solve the
problem.
