Reading complex html

In Entourage 2004 in Panther,

I seem to have some problems with reading complex html emails. Sometimes,
they are fine, but there are other times where I get the beachball for about
3 seconds, then Entourage quits.

I have 650MB RAM, and I didn't have this problem with Entourage X.

So I just turn off complex html in my preferences, and every once in awhile
I get frustrated and turn complex html on until the crashing frustrates me
and I turn it off again.

Is there something that I can do? A preference file that I need to trash?

I'm having the same problem. Hopefully someone will find the answer.
I've done everything that has been suggested so far without success.
Argh!!!!

I have looked and tried the fix that is reported on:

But it still doesn't fix it.

Got a fix that seems to work so far.

The other MSOffice apps started crashing on me on app startup, so I tried
everything. Even when I would uninstall and install the suite, it would
still give me the problem, then looking around the internet, I realized it
was probably a font problem. I tried other font programs but then I got the
latest version of Font Doctor. Word and Excel and Powerpoint open now, and
it seems that for the first several complex html emails work.

Try it. That may be when some fonts were uninstalled, it works for this
lady in this thread.

Seems that MSOffice is notorious for font related problems compounded by the
weird way that OS X manages fonts.
