Reading Custom Properties on emails

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I added few custom properties to every email on the exchange server. I am able to read them using the Outlook client but i am not able to see the custom properties using Entourage 2008.

I tried using AppleScript reading the message properties but no luck

Does Entourage 2008 download all the message properties (even custom properties)? If yes, how do i access it?

Thanks in advance

Can you explain what you mean by "properties"? Are you sure you're not
referring to a Windows-only feature in Outlook?

If you add *headers* then you can view these by selecting the message
and choosing Message --> Internet Headers.

Hope this helps!

I added few MAPI properties. Can these properties be visible in Entourage 2008 using an AppleScript?

Thanks

What, specifically, are you trying to get?

I'm looking at the AppleScript dictionary and I don't see anything specific
to Exchange (other than Exchange post). You can get a variety of message
properties, but it's things like flagged state, SMIME signed, To Do date,
etc.

If MAPI properties are not made available to DAV, then Entourage can't get
them.

Entourage does not use MAPI at all except as a workaround for delegation
in Entourage 2004. MAPI is not Entourage's protocol and I doubt it would
have a clue how to access those properties you mention.

Hope this helps!
