reading entourage archive from a network drive

Hi,
We have entourage 2004. I would like to be able to read the entourage
archive from a network drive because it gets backed up everynight.
When I import an entourage archive, it only gets stored under the
"Folders On My Computer" list, but its only on the local computer. If
this computer crashes, they could lose all their data in the entourage
archive. Each user has limited space for mailbox size on our email
server, so the only alternative is to store excess emails in an
entourage archive, but its only on the local computer and they would
have to copy it to the server every night, and I know they would
complain about the extra hassle of copying it to the server every
night. They are used to using outlook 2001 where you could look at the
contents of the personal folder from a network share and not have to
worry about copying it up to the server manually. Is there a way to
read an entourage archive from a network share?

This is what MVP Barry Wainwright posted on Thursday:
"I presume you are referring to the local database in the 'Microsoft User
data' folder? This can be stored on a server, simply move the existing
folder over to the server, and create an alias pointing to it in the user's
Documents directory. As long as this alias is named exactly as the original
item, Entourage will follow it quite happily."

In OS X, the Microsoft User Data folder is located in /Users/<Your
User>/Documents/.
