reading layout switching word options

I have a Word-AddIn, build in C#/.NET, working together with some Word-Dots.
If I open a Document, attached to an Outlook-Mail, created from such a Dot,
it first opens in "reading layout", then it changes to "page layout" and - so
far, so bad - it changes some options like switching off scrollbars etc.

Has anybody any idea?
