Reading layout

kabucek

hello all,

I have really annoying issue, because every time when I setup word to NOT
start
in ReadingLayout it's keep coming back every day and I don't like that when
I open and email in reading Layout.
Any suggestions how to fix it ??

thanks

When settings aren't saved, it can indicate a damaged Word Data key in the
Windows Registry (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm), but this sort of
problem is also often caused by an add-in that (usually unintentionally)
resets Options settings. Or, if you're on a corporate network, there may be
a login script that's resetting your settings.

You'd need to speak to the corporate network admin to see if one exists; you
won't be allowed to tamper with it on your own.

If you are in a corporate environment it could be as simple as preventing
you from updating the Registry. While some things should be locked down
sometimes they tend to get overly aggressive. The Office data, for example,
shouldn't be locked down in such a way users are prevented from saving their
personal preferences.
