Reading Outlook Calendars

I have to create a application/solution to read calender appointment timings
for all the employees of my company and insert the meeting timings for each
one of them into a database.
For example if an employee has a meeting from 2pm-4pm then I need to insert
2 hrs as a value in the database.
i am using Vb.Net and Visual Studio 2008 to achieve the same.
Any input regarding how to achieve this solution would be highly appreciated.
