Reading Pane & Attachments in Office XP Pro

In Outlook, the e-mail shows that it has an attachment. In the reading pane,
the e-mail does not show that there is an attachment. If you click on
another e-mail and then click back to the e-mail with the attachment the
attachment shows in the reading pane. Does anybody know how to make the
attachment show in the reading pane when you click on the message the first
time?
