Reading Pane is very slow

Hi

I have a user who wants the rading pane option enabled. but her problem is
that when she scrolls own through her mails it hangs everytime she highlights
a message that has a attachemtn greater than a few kb or a mail that is
larger than a few kb.

She has a pretty good spec PC, P4, 1GB RAM, lots of free drive space,
Outlook is running in Cached mode.
She has Office 2003 SP2 and XP SP2

Is there some option that i am missing somewhere to stop is from stalling ?

Any ideas will be welcome

Make sure her network card is connecting at 100 megabits. Another
solution is to enable Cached exchange mode.

That has nothing to do with this and the OP already mentioned that the user
was using CEM.

Are you running IE7? How many websites are listed in the Restricted Sites
Zone? You should keep these to a minimum. Since Outlook 2003 uses IE to
render HTML formatted email it could also impact Outlook's performance.

Additionally you could see if disabling virus scanner integration with
Outlook speed things up for you.

If the above won't solve it for you;
If you launch Outlook in safe mode, does everything work correctly then?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
