Reading .pcx files with Word 2003

S

Steve Hayes

We have a number of documents created with Word 97, which used .pcx graphics
files.

Now we have Word 2003, and it won't read the graphics.

Is there any way of getting it to read them?

Hi Steve,

You'll need to have the PCXIMP32.flt file from a prior
Word version, such as Word 97 placed in the
\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\GRPHFLT
folder, then start Word and turn on Confirm Conversions
at Open in Tools=>Options=>General
and then use Insert=>Picture from file to kickstart it.
