Reading Thai

Hello,

I am having trouble reading Thai messages in Mac Entourage 2008. There
seems to be no Thai text encoding option in the character setting and
unicode does not work. Can anyone help me?

(The reason I switched to Entourage from Mac Mail is because Mail 3
does not allow search by entire message - a very inconvenient bug!)

Is Thai a right-to-left language? If so, I don't believe RtL has been
incorporated into the unicode implementation in Office just yet.

Hi,

No, Thai is not a right to left language.

Word in XP uses a font called angsana new.ttf for reading Thai. It works very well. Is that font available for Word:2008 for Mac? If so, where can we download?

thanks

Google found this:

If you own the Windows license, then you should be able to copy it over
legally. The part that's dicey comes from using it on more than one
computer. I think the Windows license says "one copy on one computer for use
by one person". I doubt the font police will come after you. I would send
feedback asking that the font be available for Mac Users.

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications.
