Please help.
From the View Resource Availability window, using the Assignment Work By
Resource view, I find the Work allocated and Availability are equal. For
instance, I have a resource scheduled to work 8 hours in a day. The Work is
reflected in the table and chart as 8 hours for that day, but the
Availability is also reflecting 8 hours in the day. I always thought, that in
the Assignment Work by Resource view Availability displays the remaining
availability not the capacity, so if my resource is scheduled for 8 hours of
Work that day, and the calendar he's using limits a work day to 8 hours, and
his units are 100%, then the Availability should be 0 hours. Looking at other
days (and weeks) that this resource has Work assigned, Project Server shows 8
hours of Work assigned and 0 hours for his Availability. This is conflicting.
So, first, am I correct that in the Assignment Work by Resource view the
Work and Availability should be inversely proportional?
Second, if so, what could be causing them to show as the same?
Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you!
