Real Problem...

Every time I open Microsoft Office 2003 I get an error message tellin
me that Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs t
close.
The error message that comes up is:

I have all the latest updates for Office 2003 and yet it does not fi
the problem. The problem has startedabout 3 weeks ago and it is makin
it impossible to work with Office. This problem is most annoying als
as it happens when I open another application (ie. Outlook) I know tha
all the applications are linked but for the money I paid I don't expec
problems like this

After following the above steps, I discovered the problem was not wit
Microsoft Office but with Google Desktop Search and one of it'
plug-ins Gds Attachments for Outlook 2003. The problem was that it ha
trouble indexing older Office files (ie Office 2000 and Office 9
files) and this caused conflicts within Office. Since removing Googl
Desktop Search the problem seems to be solved
