I've noticed that the attributes of charts in Excel 2008 "dynamically" change. For instance, the font in the chart simultaneously changes as I type a new font type or size; the same thing happens for colors, line types, etc. In Excel 2004, none of the changes becomes effective until I close down the windows in which I am changing the colors, font size, line type, etc. Is there a way to make Excel 2008 behave like Excel 2004 in this respect? I believe this feature of Excel 2008, albeit a nice feature, could be one of the main reasons why Excel 2008 slows down when I try to plot charts using "large' data sets.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
