Really fast access to items' properties: MAPI table

Hello,
Could anyone advice where I will find info on how to use
a one column MAPI table to access a property from all
items in a public folder. Redemption site doesn't have
enough for me... What decides which values to enter?

(I want to fill a combo with the values from a property,
and looping through the collection takes forever, so
that's no solution.)

Grateful for any tip!
