rearrange tabs

Ok, I am about to answer my last post, but here's another question:

How do I rearrange the section tabs within the Classes folder? I want my
morning class to be listed to the left of my afternoon class

Right-click the tab and select "Move..." in the context menu that appears.
In the resulting dialog box, you can select the location where you want it
to go. In your case of multiple sections within a folder, Move the
sections from the right side of the page to "above" the sections listed in
the dialog box. That will move it to the left of the screen.

I can't drag and drop the section tabs inside the dialog box from their
current location within the "classes" folder to my desired position within
the "classes" folder, nor can I move them to the beginning of the folder.
The only places I am allowed to move them to are the locations that state
"move to this location," and none of those are at the top of the classes
folder.

You are correct to say that you can't drag and drop. That
functionality isn't present in OneNote SP1.

Please carefully read the instructions on the window which opens
after you select Move.

Many people find the technique counter intuitive at first. But it does
work, although it can be slow if you have lots of files to move.

If you click the small + sign that is next to the Classes folder you
will see other options where you can move the section.

I still do given that drag-and-drop is an industry wide convention which
everyone understands :)

I'm crossing my fingers that it will appear in the next version.

I think many fingers are crossed about just that potential
improvement. :)

I'm presently reading OneNote 2003 Step by Step, and hopefully this book
will answer my question.
