Hi! I need to rearrange the above, but every time I try, it merely takes the
section group and places it inside *another* section group. What am I doing
wrong?

Thanks! C.

OneNote 2007 no longer allows you to rearrange the "section groups." They
are always alphabetized and at the far right of the list.

I know, I was thoroughly impressed by this great step backwards in
functionality too.

Interesting Problem. My suggestion is to name the Section Groups to
allow them to appear in the order you want.

ie. please note that "alphabetically" ...
! comes before ^ which comes before _ which comes before ~ which comes
before -

So with those five characters you could have :

!Blow, Joe
^Blow, Joe
__Blow, Joe (this is a double underscore to start with)
_Blow, Joe
~Blow, Joe
Blow, Joe
-Blow, Joe

I use this in Windows Explorer to put my important directories at the
top.

Okay thanks, but... hello... Microsoft? What's up with the removal of that
feature? Seems to me like it would be a basic one...
Just my $.02

Instead of the symbols, you could also use a digit or letter (like an
outline). Then you don't have to figure out whether # comes before ^.

1-section name
2-section name
3-section name
a-section name
b-section name
