Reasons for my update failure are not listed

I wanted to update my Office SR-1 to SR-3. I selected Larger files yet I was
still asked for my CD. Despite the fact that the needed CD did have the
required DATA1.MCI file the update failed after the CD buzzed for about 2
minutes. Suggested standard failure explanations, unfortunately, do not
describe my situation.
