Reassign from one resource to another with fill or other quick way

Hi, PS2007, Infrastructure update and client updates thru Oct 08

Is there an easy way to reassign a resource to another resource quickly?

We have created generic resources (but not marked as generic resources - not
sure why had something to do with showing work outstanding for department,
beside that point..)

They may be scattered through a plan (yes open to doing this on a per plan
basis). They have now hired for this postion and want to change it from TBD
to George. They don't want to have to do it one line at a time.

I tried doing this in Project Pro under a resource view, but still could
only change one task at a time.

Any ideas?

Open a project and then click Tools - Build Team from Enterprise. Select
the generic-like resource on the right, a human resource on the left, and
then click the Replace button. That's the fastest way and will replace the
generic-like resource with the human resource on every task to which the
generic-like resource is assigned in the project. Hope this helps.
