I have a project where some tasks were baselined and others not. The
project is broken into phases, with only the first phase baselined. A couple
of these tasks needed to be rebaselined to show increased Work estimates.
But I noticed that when I rebaselined these tasks, the Baseline Work field
for the summary task and the Project summary task actually decreased (instead
of increasing, as I would expect). I made sure to select the option to only
baseline the selected task and click on the option to roll up to the summary
task.
One thing to note is that I have done this on the same project previously
and the Baseline Work column increased as I would expect in the Summary task
fields.
I feel that I must be doing something incorrectly. If the rebaselined tasks
is under the same summary task as another that has actuals, can that cause
this behavior to occur?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
