Recalling e-mails

I recently attempted to recall an e-mail and have since
been inundated (i.e 50 plus) with "Message Recall
Failure" messages. The person who I was attempting to
recall the message from had thier out of office auto
reply set.

Any suggestions how I can stop this would be appreciated.
