Received Files Turn to Hex Code

As soon as I click on a message, the avi or wmv file within a second turns
to Hex Code in the message. I have reloaded Office 2003 using the Repair
option and it still does the same thing. Can anyone help me here?

what type of email account? it sounds more like a problem with how the
sender is sending it - such as using uuencoding instead of mime.
