I am running Outlook 2007 with SP2 on WinXP SP3.
Almost every morning now, Outlook downloads the received mail for one of my
POP accounts in draft format, rather than in the format for received mail.
I have multiple POP email accounts configured on this machine, and it only
occurs with this particular email account. I also have this same POP email
account configured in Outlook 2007 SP2 on two other PCs, both also using
WinXP SP3. Neither of those machines have this issue with either the
affected POP account or any other.
This problem first occurred on this PC when I upgraded to Outlook 2007 SP1
from Outlook XP. I resolved it then by running a repair install on Office
2007.
Since I applied Service Pack 2 for Office 2007 recently, this has been
occurring almost every morning. I've run a repair install each day, and it
fixes the issue for that day. When I put my computer in standby or shutdown
for the evening, the problem occurs again in the morning.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and/or do you know of a more
permanent fix than running a repair every day?
BTW, I recently lost the hard drive in this laptop computer and had to
install the operating system fresh on a new hard drive, along with Office
2007 and my other programs. Before the crash, I was using SP1, after the
crash I installed SP2 for Office 2007.
Thanks!
