receiving 550 must be Authenticated

I have web.1and1.com as my web mail/work email provider. I like to use MS
outlook when sending and receiving emails on desktop at home office or work
office. I have no problems receiving message, however, when I try to send
out a message the Command sent from Macafee virus scan sends a receipt
regarding the peerson I sent it to and the REponse Received: 550 must be
Authenticated. Consult the online help for your email program for more
information on this error. Contact your email provider if the problem
persists. Please help our IT guy is not a full timer and I am extremely
frustrated.

First, disable scaning of outgoing messages. It's pointless and disrupts
the communication between client and server.
