receiving email via wrong address

I am receiving email on email addresses that I do not have set up with my
Internet Service provider ?
The address these people use is usually (e-mail address removed) but I have
no email accounts set up by that name in my Outlook 2002 ?
How do these people manage to do this ? and how do I stop them?

If it's your domain, the mail server may be forwarding addresses sent to
unknown mailboxes to your main mail address there.
