Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I just set up Entourage on my computer and I can send emails but am not receiving them. I checked my Incoming mail server, and it is correct. What am I doing or not doing that is causing this and how do I fix it?

We were previously using iMail when we first set up the computers and that mail program is still receiving all my emails just fine.

If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

You can try re-entering info.
You can delete account and create a new one.
Using copy/paste can result in an extra space being added. Type carefully.
Check your Keychain for corruption.

Check under advanced settings. Most ISPs require advanced settings now for
SMTP and some do for receiving. Check the website for exact info on SSL and
ports.

What type of email account is this? If it is a POP account rather than
IMAP, it may be that if Mail is running as well, it is collecting the
mail and deleting it from the server (that's how POP works by default).
the solution in this case is to open the account settings on BOTH mail
clients and set the setting to retain mail on server for 30 days (or
whatever is convenient).
