Receiving Error message 'Data on the clipboard is damaged'

I have always copy/pasted records from an excel file into my access database.
The database is shared by other people. Currently, if I try to paste new
records I receive error message 'The data on the clipboard is damaged, so
Microsoft Access can't paste it'. How do I determine clipboard error?
