Receiving Excel files from Excel on PC running winXP

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

We are a mix of PC and Mac on same network and share the same printers. When an Excel file is opened on a Mac the page set-up changes from the original. Same happens in reverse?

Any thoughts welcome

Page set up is based on the printer selected. If you told us what changes
