Receiving multiple copies of same email

I have 5 accounts set up. We use ISP A to connect to internet. One account is with ISP A so POP and SMTP servers are 'similar'. Another account is our main account and is 'hosted' by ISP B so POP server is set to server for ISP B, and SMTP server is set to server for ISP A. The 3 other accounts are all redirected from other servers to the account 2, so POP and SMTP are set up the same as account 2.
My problem is that I get multiple emails being received, sometimes 4, but not always.
I read the below in a previous thread
"Create separate send-only accounts by configuring the outgoing (SMTP)
information, but not the incoming information."
but if I do that I keep getting error messages about accounts not being set up properly.
What to do please?

You can set up the incoming information correctly, but do not put the
"send-only" accounts on any receive schedule.

OK. Got it. In Tools, Schedules. Edit the Send and Receive All schedule to remove the Receive Mail entries for the other 3 accounts.
Thanks very much.
I wonder if that will solve it. I think I still have some multiple entries coming through but will keep an eye on it.
