Receiving Multiple EMails from some senders

I am receiving multiple EMails from some senders who are not sending me
multiple EMails in OL 2007. Sometimes I get three copies, with one or two
sent to differing inbox folers. I subscribe to NetFlix, and get 13 copies of
their notifications every time I return or they send a DVD!

What is the problem, and what is the solution. Obviously, deleting the
extras is a bandaid.
