receiving' reported error (0x80042108)

I don't have much knowlage on computers. Can some one tell me what this
following message means and how to correct it-

Task 'noorani_verixon_mail- Receivinf' reported error ( 0x80042108) : '
Outlook is unavle to connect to your incoming (PoP3) e-mail server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact you server administrator or ISP.'

I have microsoft office out look 2003, Windows XP home edition.
My internet explorer and my MSN are working fine.
I have contace my internet provider and they can't seem to find any thing
wrong with their service, they told me it is a software problem??!!

Any suggestions.

Like the error say's. Contact the ISP that you are using.
