Recent Files Issue

I

Ivica R

Hi to all,

I am trying to save Project as XML but I dont want to that this file is
visible in the Recent Files list (file menu).

In the other office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) there is a RecentFiles
object which I can use to delete one or more items, but in Project this
object does not exist.

My question is:

Is it possible to save project without listing it in the Recent Files list
or is it possible to delete one or more item from this list ?

Thanks,

Ivica

I do not believe so. You can, however, remove items from the list by
editing the registry.

Items for the Pro07 recent file list are stored in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\MS Project\Recent File
List\ branch.

The list can also be disabled under the General tab of Tools > Options.

I have already try that but problem is in Project client - it keeps recentfiles somewhere in the memory and if I delete keys or values in the registry, they are still visible at the file menu and after exiting Project client they are written again in the registry. Ufff :)

Thanks anyway.
