Recent opinion about "eMessage Archiver"?

Greetings: I have downloaded and tested "eMessage Archiver" for the
latest Entourage 2004 (Leopard). I'm very impressed. However, I
haven't seen any recent posts about it. I found this:

Does anyone know if it's too risky to get involved with it? It's only
$15 for shareware. I'd hate to get a proprietary program that will not
be supported. I only see an update from 2007 for it.

Hi Eric!

I've never used this application myself so I can't tell you how well it
works. The makers do seem to offer a 15-day trial period where you can
test its features yourself.

What I notice right away when viewing the second link is that the latest
version of the software is "beta 5" but hasn't been updated in over a
year. That leads me to believe the author of the software is not
actively pursuing getting the application completed and perfected. I'd
think twice before putting my data into a system that's not being well
supported.
