recently received message-"microsoft office not genuine"

[Puzzled]

After a recent microsoft update to a laptop computer on entering "Word" the
following message appeared"Microsoft office not genuine".As this software was
activated some while ago I am wondering if the update had something to do
with this problem.
Hoping some one out there can solve this problem!
