In Word XP and 2003, where is the recently-used file list stored?? I
deleted all shortcuts from C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Recent, but the
recently used files were still there. I did not find the list inside
any file or in the registry. I know you can turn off collecting in
tools/options, but is there any way to clear the list while continuing
to collect? (besides unchecking the box and then checking it again)
Also, I found a registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Open
Find\Microsoft Office Word\Settings\Save As\File Name MRU. This comes
up when you are saving, all of the recent filenames you've used are in
a dropdown. But it doesn't affect opening files.
