recently used file list

Dr. Combs

I am using Office XP; in WORD only, the recently used file
list does not update - I have it set to show the 9 most
recent files used and it does not do that. In the other
office applications this work fine - only in Word do I not
get the most recent opened files. Any ideas on what the
problem is would be appreciated; have turned it off and on
again and even reinstalled word, still no luck.

Many thanks.

Hi J.,

If the MRU (most recentlu used) list on the file menu isn't working
then you may have used an app such as TWEAKUI or X-Teq or Ontrack Suite.

In MS TweakUI you'll need to use the "IE" tab and reenable
[x] Add new documents to Documents on Start Menu

If you used X-Teq use the 'folder tree' and turn on
Appearance=>Start Menu=>Options=>Recent Documents History
